Scouting Butler (7-14, 2-8 BIG EAST)
Working with just seven scholarship players for most of the season, Butler is a team in transition. Six of Butler's 10 players are freshman and the Bulldogs are expected to be without starters Tori Schickel and Michelle Weaver on Friday. Also consider that freshman Emmy Schabel has played just four minutes this season and the rotation goes seven deep.
In the absence of Schickel (13.1 ppg), senior Blaire Langlois (11.7 ppg) and freshman Brittany Ward (10.0 ppg) have become the focal points of the offense.
Defensively Butler is one of the strongest teams at taking away the three-point shot as the Bulldogs limit their opposition to 29.1 % from long range.

Keys to the Game w/Butler
- Be selective from long range: A major portion of the Bluejays' offense is the three-point shot. However, that is the best portion of the Bulldogs defense. In the first meeting Creighton was 8-for-21 from downtown.
- Force Turnovers: Butler committed 15 turnovers in the first meeting, leading to 16 Creighton points.
- Keep Butler off the Free Throw Line: The Bluejays limited Butler to just 11 free throws in the first meeting. With the Bulldogs struggling, giving up uncontested chances get be dangerous.
