Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Women's Basketball head coach Jim Flanery has announced the addition of transfer Brooke Kissinger to the Bluejays 2016-17 squad.
Originally from Minden, Neb., Kissinger spent the last two seasons playing at Illinois. The Nebraska state record holder for career three-pointers (363), Kissinger hit 48 treys as a sophomore last season for the Illini. Brooke also holds the Nebraska record for trifectas in one season with 110 in 2011.Â
Coming out of high school Kissinger was rated as the 19th guard nationally in the 2014 class by ESPN Hoopgurlz.
"I've been feeling a bit homesick over the past two years so a big factor in my choosing Creighton was that is is a lot closer to home," said Kissinger.
Due to NCAA transfer regulations, Kissinger will not be able to play for the Bluejays until the 2017-18 season.
"Brooke is a tremendous player with a skill set that fits nicely into our system," said Flanery. "We're very excited to see her develop next season and provide another threat from long range in the years to come."
