Scouting Iowa (0-0-0):
The Hawkeyes closed the 2015 season with a 7-10-1 record and a 1-9-1 mark in Big Ten play. Iowa is in its third season under head coach Dave Dilanni (21-17-2 at Iowa).
The Hawkeyes return six starters from last
season, including their Offensive MVP from last sason (Karly Stuenkel).
A key for Iowa will be the battle in goal as the Hawkeye's have four netminders looking for time.
Scouting Missouri-Kansas City (0-0-0):
Led by the preseason WAC Offensive Player of the Year, Lexie Howard, UMKC is poised to improve on the 14-6-1 mark the Roos closed 2015 with.
The Roos welcome back 10 of its 11 starters from last season. Despite the loaded stock of returning players, Missouri-Kansas City is slated to finish third in the WAC.
The one hole in the Roos lineup, however, is a big one as UMKC must replace its goalkeeper.
