Reznicek Cruising for a Bruising
North Dakota transfer Ben Reznicek opened his career at Creighton in a unique was as the second baseman was hit by a pitch in each of his first three plate appearances. However, twice Reznicek was called back to the plate. During the opening series at UAB, Reznicek was hit twice, officially.
Uncharacteristically Bad Day on the Diamond
In Creighton's 14-1 loss to UAB in the series finale on Sunday, the Bluejays committed five errors that resulted in 11 unearned runs. The five miscues were the most by a Bluejay squad since April 22, 2005, when Creighton had five errors against Wichita State.
