Creighton Athletics Announces
Michael G. Morrison, S.J., Soccer Stadium Upgrade Project and Suite Additions
Opened in 2003, Michael G. Morrison, S.J., Stadium is still considered one of the nation's elite collegiate soccer venues. The Morrison Stadium upgrade and suite addition is a much-needed enhancement to the stadium. While the facility has already received upgraded field turf, scoreboard and hospitality amenities, this project is a continued effort to keep Morrison Stadium as the top intercollegiate soccer venue in the country while fulfilling additional program and spectator needs in the facility. These enhancements will allow the soccer programs and university to utilize the stadium more frequently on a day-to-day basis.
Construction on the project will begin in the next few weeks and will conclude in time for the start of the 2018 fall soccer season. This project will consist of constructing coaching, staff and resource offices to the north side of the upper west concourse. Additional suites will be added in order to enhance the fan experience and improve event space. Morrison Stadium will also be winterized to provide maximum usage opportunity for student-athletes, staff and the community during colder months. The existing club area will be renovated to include an in-venue multi-purpose space for men's and women's soccer student-athletes.
All funding associated with this upgrade project will be provided through private support. Help us raise the final $300,000 to make this project a reality in time for the 2018 fall soccer season.
