Men's Golf Finishes 19th at Missouri Tiger Invitational

Meet was the final tune-up prior to the BIG EAST Championships
COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Trey Petitt shot a 10-over 226 to lead the Creighton men's golf team to a 19th place finish on Tuesday at the Missouri Tiger Invitational, Presented by COG.
Host Missouri, the nation's No. 40 team, won the meet by 11 shots over Kansas State with a 25-under total of 839. The Tigers were paced by Hayden Buckley, who shot a 12-under 204 to win the meet by five strokes over three men. The meet featured 19 teams and 102 entrants.
A senior from Lincoln, Petitt tied for 49th place with rounds of 73, 73 and 80.
Sophomore Andrew McCormick fired rounds of 81, 74 and 79 to tie for 83rd place with a 234 aggregate. He was one shot and four places ahead of teammate Bradley Keyer (79-71-85). Keyer's 71 matched the junior's lowest round of the season.
Nate Vontz tied for 96th place with loops of 77, 77 and 87 for a 241 finish. He was three shots and three places ahead of junior Koy Potthoff (81-83-80).
Creighton closes the regular-season at the BIG EAST Championships, which will be contested from April 29-May 1 in Okatie, S.C.
