Robertson Claims Second Preseason All-American Nod, Earning the Honor from Baseball America

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton outfielder Will Robertson, the BIG EAST Co-Preseason Player of the Year, nabbed his second Preseason All-American nod in eight days as the junior was named a Third Team Preseason All-American by Baseball America on Monday, Jan. 28. Roberson was also a Third Team selection by D1Baseball.com one week ago.
Robertson, a lefty from Loose Creek, Mo., was a BIG EAST First Team honoree from 2018. He closed the 2018 season with a team-best .333 average at the dish. Despite playing in the spacious home field of TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, Robertson smashed the baseball at impressive numbers during his sophomore campaign with 12 home runs and collecting 59 RBI. In addition he tied for second in the BIG EAST with 17 doubles and four triples in 50 games played last season. Nationally, Robertson was a 2018 ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Region selection.
Seeing action in 42 games during the summer of 2018 in the Cape Cod League, Robertson continued to shine with a .300 average, 15 extra-base knocks and 28 RBI.
Robertson and the Bluejays open the 2019 season with a three-game series versus Arkansas-Little Rock on Feb. 15-17.
