Rowing To Host Annual 2K Challenge on February 8th

Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton Rowing squad is hosting its Annual 2K rowing Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 8th.

Join us for the 7th Annual Creighton 2K Rowing Challenge! We have eight different age categories for both men and women as well as three age categories for "kids"! Your entry fee covers your entry in the individual 2,000-meter race, the individual Half Marathon (21,097m) Row, a relay, or all of these races! (Kids 14 and younger and adults 70 yrs+ will do 1,000-meters for the individual race).

The 4-person team relays consist of 4 rowers who will each complete 500 meters of the 2,000-meter race. Relays can be all women, all men or coed (must have at least 2 women). We also have a family relay division; a family must have at least 2 children under the age of 18. Finally, there is a couples relays! Each pair will row 500 meters a piece, with each relay consisting of 1,000 meters. Couples must have at least one woman! New this year we've added a 21,097m individual row - the Half Marathon Row. That will be one of the first races of the day and will run throughout the morning.

$30.00 per person EARLY BIRD fee if you register by January 1, 2020 11:59pm.

$35.00 per person after January 2. 2020.

Registration fee includes an event t-shirt and registration into any/all events. You must register by January 31st to guarantee your t-shirt size and racing time slot. Registration CLOSES on Thursday 11:59 pm, February 6, 2020!

We will announce the times of each event the week of the competition, so make sure you include your email when registering! Please email jcd64173@creighton.edu with any questions.

*** If your gym, company, or organization would like to sponsor the event, please email Joy at jcd64173@creighton.edu. Sponsors will have their names on the back of the event t-shirt as well as other sponsor options.

1/2 Marathon Rowing (only category will be a women's and men's category)

Women's 80+ and Men 80+

Women 70-79 and Men 70-79

Women 60-69 and Men 60-69

Women 50-59 and Men 50-59

Women 43-49 and Men 43-49

Women 36-42 and Men 36-42

Women 27-35 and Men 27-35

Women 18-26 and Men 18-26

Girls 15-18 (not in college) and Boys 15-18 (not in college)

Girls 12-14 (1000m) and Boys 12-14 (1000m)

Girls and Boys Under 12

*Team Relays have no age category - can be coed (2 women and 2 men), all women, OR all men (2000m). Couples relays (1000m). Family relay (2000m) must have at least 2 children 18 or under (not in college).

**Awards will be given for the top three finishers in each category at the end of the day!
