Series History: Creighton leads Maryland, 2-1
Creighton and Maryland have faced each other just three times, the last coming in 2007. The Bluejays dropped the last meeting, 10-4, as part of a tournament played in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Feb. 11, 2007. The two previous meetings came in 1984, with Creighton taking both. Those contests were played on a neutral site in Miami.
FINALLY, the Sun Has Come Back To Omaha
The 2019 season has brought a unique wrinkle for most midwest teams have scrambled to rescheduled locations or series entirely due to the weather.
The Bluejays and Terrapins series is no exception as Maryland was originally coming to Omaha this season, but frosty conditions forced the two teams to flop their home-and-home series.
In total the Bluejays altered 11 games already, cancelling seven games, postponing another and moving this series.
The good news is that the temperatures have been rising in Omaha, allowing the snow to melt and the field at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha almost ready.
The Bluejays expect to open its home scheduled on Tuesday, March 26 against Nebraska.
