Women's Soccer Announces 2019 Schedule, Featuring 14 Home Contests

Omaha, Neb. -- Bluejay women's soccer head coach Ross Paule unveiled the 2019 Creighton schedule, featuring 14 contests at Morrison Stadium, including 12 during the regular season.
Creighton's preseason schedule begins on August 9th as the Bluejays will offer fans a chance to watch its Blue vs. White Scrimmage at 6:00 pm. Creighton's two remaining exhibition contests take the Bluejays to Des Moines to face Drake on August 14th, then battles South Dakota at home on August 17th at 7:00 pm.
The regular season begins with six straight home matches as the Bluejays face off with Kansas State (August 23rd), South Dakota State (August 29th), Clemson (September 1st), Iowa State (September 6th), Eastern Michigan (September 8th) and Oklahoma (September 15th). The match with Iowa State will be part of a doubleheader with the men's program as Creighton hosts the 8th annual Socctoberfest.
The Bluejays' first match on the road in 2019 takes the squad just south to face Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) on Tuesday, September 17th. That weekend the Bluejays head to Florida to face Florida Gulf Coast (September 20th) and Florida Atlantic (September 22nd).
The push to reach the BIG EAST tournament begins in earnest on September 28th as Creighton hosts DePaul in the conference opener. The Bluejays hit the road to face Xavier (October 3rd) and Marquette (October 6th), then return home against Butler on October 10th.
The second half of the conference season starts in the nation's capital as Creighton faces Georgetown on October 13th. After returning to Omaha, Creighton faces Providence on October 19th, then returns to the east coast to face Seton Hall (October 24) and St. John's (October 27th). The season closes with senior day against Villanova on Halloween in Morrison Stadium at 7:00 pm.
The 2019 BIG EAST Women's Soccer Championship presented by Jeep is scheduled to start on Sunday, November 3rd with first round matchups, continue with semifinals on Thursday, November 7th, and conclude with the title match on Sunday, November 10th.
