Creighton Battles UNO in Day-Night Doubleheader at Werner, then TD Ameritrade Park Omaha

Omaha, Neb. -- In a true battle for bragging rites in the city, Creighton and UNO will face off in a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 30th. The twin bill, however, has a twist as the first game will be at UNO's home (Werner Park) at 1:00 pm, while the second game will be at the Bluejays' home (TD Ameritrade Park Omaha) at 6:30 pm.

Series History: Creighton leads Omaha, 54-30
The Bluejays hold a 54-30 series edge over the Mavericks and are 9-3 against UNO under head coach Ed Servais. The Bluejays took all three meetings last season, pushing Creighton's win streak against Omaha to six games. The last UNO win came on April 22, 2014.
Scouting the Mavericks (2019: 25-13-1, 17-4 MVC)
Despite dropping a series to South Dakota State over the weekend, the Mavericks enter the unique day/night two-park doubleheader player extremely well.
Coming into Tuesday's battles the Mavericks are .277 as a team, led by three players over .300. The leader at the dish is Parker Smejkal, hitting .354, while Matt Bondarchuk has a .328 average in limited action (he has played just 19 games).
On the mound, however, UNO has a team ERA of 4.39.
Unique Doubleheader Feature Two Parks
Tuesday offers a special twist as the first game will be played at Werner Park with the Mavericks as the host at 1:00 pm. The second game of the double dip will be at 6:30 pm at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, with Creighton as the home team.
The only time something like happened at the MLB level was in 2008 as the New York Mets and New York Yankees played a day/night twin bill at Shea Stadium and Yankee Stadium on June 27.
