Softball Strengthens Roster With Addition Of Three Recruits

Alyssa Bostley, Sydra Seville and Alexis Wiggins will join the Bluejays in the fall of 2021
OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton softball head coach Brent Vigness announced the addition of three players who will join the program in the fall of 2021, as each officially signed a letter-of-intent this week.

Pitchers Alyssa Bostley (Verona, Wisconsin / Verona Area HS) and Alexis Wiggins (Adams, Nebraska / Norris HS), as well as outfielder Sydra Seville (New Lenox, Illinois, Lincoln-Way Central HS) will each join the Bluejays for the 2022 season.

Alyssa Bostley, Pitcher, Verona, Wisconsin, Verona Area HS, Iowa Premier, Bats Left, Throws Left
-First-team All-Big 8 Conference in 2019
-All-State Honorable Mention following sophomore season in 2019
-Led team with 39 RBIs and tied for team-lead with five triples and three home runs and ranking second on the squad for both hits (46) and slugging percentage (.777)
-Also earned two letters in volleyball
-Member of National Honor Society
-Claims membership to the Food Drive Club and volunteers at the animal shelter and food shelter

-Ranked #104 outfielder nationally by Extra Inning Softball (Class of 2021)
-2019 All-Conference selection
-Helped lead Warriors to 2019 4A Regional Championship
-Part of Knights team that finished 2019 ranked No. 7 in the state and posted a 32-2 record
-Owns a .412 career batting average, .476 on-base percentage and .515 slugging percentage after two seasons at Lincoln-Way Central
-Also tallied 56 runs scored and 34 RBIs through freshman and sophomore seasons
-Part of club team that earned premier bid to PGF Nationals three out of the past four years
-Helped guide Sparks Premier to second place at the 2020 Top Gun PGF National Qualifier in Kansas City and runner-up finish at King of the Hill in 2018
-Also helped her varsity basketball squad to a conference championship during her freshman year
-Member of student council, Key Club, math and science honor societies and earned a spot on high honor roll (4.3 GPA).

-Ranked 60th in the Class of 2021 Extra Inning Softball Extra Elite 100
-Omaha World-Herald 2020 All-Nebraska team selection
-Posted a 2.96 ERA and 294 strikeouts, while going 23-5 in the circle during senior season in fall of 2020 to help team take third at state.
-The 23 wins established a new program record for a single season.
-Also hit .429 with six homers and 39 RBIs in final season as a Titan
-Helped lead Norris to a third-place finish in at the 2020 Class B State Championship and a 28-6 record
-Also guided the Titans to the 2019 Class B State Tournament
-Went 12-6 with 1.76 ERA, while hitting .467, including six home runs during her junior year
-Also participates in track and field at Norris, doing the long jump and triple jump
