Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton Bluejay women's soccer 2020 signing class grew to nine newcomers on Tuesday, May 26 as head coach Ross Paule officially announced the signing of Nicole Tiller (Switzerland)
A 5-5 defender, Tiller will slot into the Bluejay back line (right back) or in the midfield (wide midfielder/wide forward). She competed in 12 matches for the U19 Swiss National Team and was part of the squad during a friendly with the U18 U.S. National Team in 2018. Presently Tiller has played three years at the Nationalliga A (the highest women's level in Switzerland) for FC Aarau, where she played in 27 matches (26 starts). She plays club soccer for BSC Young Boys Bern. At the Nationalliga A, Tiller played in the Cup Final and also played for her country at the Neymar Juniors 5 World Final in Brazil.
"Tiller is another excellent addition to our team," said Paule. "She is a hard worker with great endurance, strength and power to get up and down the flanks. Her well rounded technical ability, vision and creativity will be very effective within our system of play and she will link up very well with talented players around her. Her passion to learn, grow, succeed and impact in all she does is a perfect fit for our culture."
Tiller joins the other eight members of the Bluejays' 2020 class; Chloe Arnold (Santa Ana, Calif.), Lilli Bedell (Seattle, Washington), Mara Grutkamp (Essen, Germany), Trinity Harvey (Colorado Springs, Colorado), Alexis Johnson (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Madison Radke (Colorado Rapids, Colorado), Abigail Santana (Marion, Iowa) and Peighton Steffen (Waunakee, Wisconsin).
