Scouting Georgetown (1-6, 1-6 BIG EAST)
If there is a team that can empathize with Creighton's long delay this season, the Hoyas are that team.
Georgetown did not start its season until Dec. 19 and played just two games prior to Jan. 13.
Things appear to have turned a corner for the Hoyas, getting in five games in a 15-day stretch (Jan. 13-28). Georgetown, however, has dropped each of those five games.
The Hoyas entered the season with just five players having played even one minute for their squad last season. Expectedly the newcomers have been forced to lead Georgetown as Boston College grad transfer Milan Bolden-Morris brings a team-high 10.6 ppg to Omaha.
The top four scorers for the Hoyas are new to the floor this season, (Kelsey Ranson - 9.6 ppg, Yasmin Ott - 7.3 ppg and Jillian Archer - 5.9 ppg). Archer was on the bench last year as a USC transfer.

Scouting Creighton (3-6, 2-3 BIG EAST)
Returning the to the court following a 27-day layoff, the Bluejays are bound to have a bit of rust.
The last time Creighton was on the floor the Bluejays struggled to a 53-50 win at Xavier, shooting 3-of-22 (13.6%) from long range at Xavier on Jan. 3.
On the season the Bluejays are connecting on 31.1% of their long-range calls, led by 40.5% by senior Temi Carda (15-of-37).
Carda is the team leader with 14.4 ppg, while fellow senior Tatum Rembao controls the offense with 33 assists and 11.5 ppg.
A few key players to watch for the Bluejays are freshmen Emma Ronsiek (11.4 ppg), Morgan Maly (6.0 ppg) and Molly Mogensen (4.7 ppg). The development of these three over the season will dictate how successful Creighton can be.
Keys To the Game on Saturday, Jan. 30
Bluejays Hold the Edge in Experience
Entering the season with just five returners from the 2019-20 season, the Hoyas brought a combined 1,362 minutes and 318 points. By contrast Bluejay senior Temi Carda played 1,113 minutes and scored 388 points in 2019-20.
As a group Creighton brought back nine players from last season with a combined 4,207 minutes and 1,183 points.
With A Win the Bluejays will Post Just Second Undefeated Month Under Flanery
If Creighton can collect a win on Saturday, it will mark just the second undefeated month under head coach Jim Flanery.
The only other time Creighton went undefeated in a calendar month was February of 2017. That month the Bluejays went 7-0 to earn a share of the BIG EAST Conference regular title. Creighton went 16-2 in BIG EAST play in 2016-17, reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
