Women's Soccer Begins Two-Match Road Swing at Villanova on Sunday

Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton women's soccer team heads out on the road during fall break as the Bluejays face Villanova on Sunday, October 10 and go to Connecticut on Thursday, October 14.

The Bluejays will be without 10 players that have contributed significant minutes this season. That group includes captain Jordy Rothwell, Ansley Atkinson and Cristina Garriga.
Creighton's defense has kept the Bluejays in every contest, allowing just eight goals in 13 matches. The first time in 2021 Creighton allowed more than one goal in a match came in its last match, a 2-0 loss to Marquette. Junior goalkeeper Keelan Terrell has six shutouts, 35 saves and is third in the conference with a 0.58 GAA.
Sophomore Abigail Santana guides the Bluejay offense with a team best seven goals. Santana, however, has been limited to one goal on just two shots in four BIG EAST matches.
