Flanery vs. Providence
Flanery is 13-3 against the Friars.
Scouting Providence (6-5, 1-1 BE)
The absence of veteran leader Mary Baskerville has forced Providence to find other weapons at the offensive end. Janai Crooms and Alyssa Geary have answered the call as the duo are averaging 14.6 and 13.5 points per game. Both Crooms and Geary are shooting the rock at better than 45% this season, while Crooms is averaging a double-double with 10.1 rebounds per game.

Scouting Creighton (6-3, 2-0 BE)
After six consecutive games at home, the Bluejays begin a stretch of four consecutive road games at Providence on Sunday.
Despite dropping the first game at home this season, Creighton looked strong on offense against South Dakota on December 16. The Bluejays connected on over 50% of their shots for the second consecutive contest.
Emma Ronsiek is the offensive leader with 15.9 ppg, while reserve Morgan Maly is second on the squad with 10.8 ppg. Creighton has been adept in the early season at sharing the basketball,
averaging just under 20 assists per game with 177 assists in nine contests (19.7).

Players to Watch for Creighton
A Trifecta of 23
For the third consecutive game a different Bluejay player finished with 23 points. Against South Dakota it was Emma Ronsiek, versus Arizona State the 23 came from Carly Bachelor. Lauren Jensen got the streak going with 23 against Villanova on December 5.
Speaking of Numbers, Bluejays Not a Fan of 1.9 seconds
Twice during the 2021-22 season the Bluejays have watched an opponent take the lead with just 1.9 seconds remaining in the game. In the season opening battle with Drake the Bluejays knotted the game at 79-79 in the final minute, only to see the Bulldogs hit a trey with 1.9 seconds remaining.
The script repeated itself on December 16 as South Dakota scored in the post to take a 73-71 lead.

Unruh Opts to Redshirt 2021-22 Season
Sidelined throughout first two months of the season with injuries, freshman Lexi Unruh and the Bluejay coaching staff made the decision to use her redshirt option during 2021-22.
From Relaxed to Rushed
After a relaxing pace that saw the Bluejays play four games in 19 days (November 22 - December 15), Creighton is in the midst of three games in three games in six days (December 16-21). Increasing the difficulty for the Bluejays is the four aforementioned games were at home, while the trio come in Omaha (December 16 vs. South Dakota), Providence (December 19) and at Arkansas (December 21)

Keys To the Game on Sunday, Dec. 19
- Rebounding: Providence is a squad that thrives on getting second and third opportunities. Creighton was focused on the boards at Nebraska, but needs a gang rebounding mentality.
- Scoring in transition: Creighton's offense is at its best when Tatum Rembao and Molly Mogensen can push the tempo and get defenses out of set positions.
- Communication on defense: Creighton and Providence are both relatively young teams. The squad that communicates best on defense will be able to frustrate the opposition
Players to Watch for Creighton
- Lauren Jensen and Molly Mogensen: Against Villanova Jensen delivered a career-high 23 points, but has been 2-of-11 in the last two contests. Mogensen has 17 points in the last two games, but has not dished out an assist in either contest.
