Scouting #19 DePaul (13-4, 10-2 BIG EAST)
DePaul has won four straight and eight of nine games. The Blue Demons only two losses in BIG EAST action have come to #1 Connecticut.
A high volume shooting team, DePaul averages 83.7 points per game. Four Blue Demons score in
double-figures, led by Sonya Morris at 19.1 ppg. Just a step back are Lexi Held (16.1 ppg), Dee Bekelja (14.5 ppg) as well as Deja Church (13.1 ppg).
Church was held out in DePaul's last game, an 83-75 win over Xavier.
In the first meeting with the Bluejays, DePaul put six in double figures.
The Blue Demons thrive when they push the pace, forcing 22.5 turnovers per game.
Scouting Creighton (6-8, 5-5 BIG EAST)
For the first time in program the Bluejays posted consecutive one-point victories in their last two games. The victories, however, speak to Creighton's up and down season.
In the 77-76 overtime win at Seton Hall on Feb. 13, the Bluejays scored 41 points in the second half to rally from down 14 to force overtime. Against Georgetown the Bluejays finished with 42 points in the contest.
Creighton is led by the trio of Temi Carda (13.6 ppg), Emma Ronsiek (10.6 ppg) and Tatum Rembao
(10.0 ppg). In the last two games freshman Morgan Maly has stepped forward with 31 combined points.
Creighton's Keys To the Game
Bluejays' Two-Game Win Streak at DePaul More Than Rare
In each of the last two seasons, Creighton has gone to Chicago and pulled off a surprising win. Since the BIG EAST reformed in prior to the 2013-14 season, only one other conference foe has won consecutive road games at DePaul. The team was Seton Hall in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
The last time the Blue Demons dropped home contests to the same team in three consecutive years goes back to 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 against Notre Dame.
Creighton Has Delivered A Surprise In Each of the Last Two Seasons
Each of the Bluejays' road victories against DePaul over the past two seasons has brought something unexpected.
In Creighton's 85-82 win on Dec. 29, 2018 the Bluejays got a career-high 20 points from Brooke Kissinger. She finished 7-of-8 from the field, including 6-of-7 from long range in the win. In two seasons at Creighton, Kissinger did not top seven points in any other game.
Playing without the BIG EAST Player of the Year, Jaylyn Agnew, last season due to an injury. The Bluejays rallied from a 40-21 halftime deficit to earn a 63-61 win. Olivia Elger finished with a career-high 28 points, including 16 in the second half.
Bluejays Post Consecutive One-Point Victories For First Time in School History
This marks the first time in program history the Bluejays have won consecutive games by just one point, besting Seton Hall 77-76 in overtime on Feb. 13. The closest
margin of victory in consecutive victories for Creighton came during the 2011-12 season as Creighton defeated Bowling Green 49-47 on Dec. 18, 2011 and bested Texas-San Antonio 54-53 on Dec. 20, 2011. The last time Creighton scored 42 points and won was a 42-41 win against Evansville on Feb. 13, 2010.
The game will be broadcast on FS1.

Creighton's Keys To the Game
- Ball Security: Creighton must limit turnovers in any game, but it is more critical against a team such as DePaul. Giving the Blue Demons a chance to run often leads to swings in their favor.
- Pace: Playing without point guards Tatum Rembao and Molly Mogensen, the Bluejays may be very thin at guard. As a result Creighton will have to slow the game down.
- Taking Advantage of the Paint: In the first meeting with DePaul, Emma Ronsiek finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Shooting 13-for-15 again is unlikely, but if Creighton can be successful in the paint it will open up opportunities at the three-point line.
