Scouting Marquette (15-4, 12-3 BIG EAST)
Since Creighton and Marquette met on Feb. 1, the Golden Eagles have gone 4-2. The two losses came to the BIG EAST's two ranked squads (Connecticut and DePaul).
Thanks to Creighton's win over #19 DePaul on Saturday, Marquette enters Monday's contest in second place in the BIG EAST.
Marquette is a team that thrives on sharing the basketball, averaging better than 20 assists per game this season. Selena Lott guides the Golden Eagles' offense (15.2 ppg), but in the first meeting with Creighton is was Camryn Taylor that delivered 27 points (12-of-14 from the field).
In addition to sharing the ball, Marquette is an excellent rebounding squad. The Golden Eagles average 40.4 boards per game, while in the first meeting with Creighton the Bluejays and Golden Eagles each grabbed 40 off the glass,
Scouting Creighton (7-8, 6-5 BIG EAST)
Creighton comes into the game in Milwaukee riding a three-game winning streak. Those three wins, however, have come in wildly different ways.
The three game stretch also offers the Bluejays' best and worst shooting percentages in over two seasons.
Creighton rallied from a 14-point second half deficit to defeat Seton Hall 77-76 in overtime.
Against Georgetown the Bluejays won a masonry battle with a 7-0 run in the final 93 seconds to claim a 42-41 win.
Finally at #19 DePaul, the Bluejays outscored the high powered Blue Demons 83-72, leading from early in the first quarter.
Creighton's Keys To the Game
Bluejays' Three-Game Win Streak at DePaul More Than Rare
In each of the last three seasons, Creighton has gone to Chicago and pulled off a surprising win. The last time the Blue Demons dropped home
contests to the same team in three consecutive years goes back to 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 against Notre Dame.

Feb. 20, 2021Â Â Â at #19 DePaul (Wintrust)Â Â Â W. 83-72
Ronsiek Brings Her Best To DePaul
Freshman Emma Ronsiek's two best games of the season came against DePaul. In two games she
averaged 27.5 ppg (55 points), while in the other 13 games she has 120 points (9.2 ppg).
Wins at Georgetown and at #19 DePaul Offered Best and Worst Shooting For Bluejays in Two Seasons
The victories at Georgetown (42-41 on Feb. 15) and at #19 DePaul (83-72 on Feb. 20) couldn't be more different.
Against the Hoyas the Bluejays posted a victory despite shooting just 25.5% (12-for-47). That is the lowest percentage for a Creighton squad since shooting 24.5% in the BIG EAST Tournament Final against St. John's on March 8, 2016 (13-for-53).
In the win over the Blue Demons, Creighton shot 58.0% (29-for-50). That mark was the Bluejays' best since knocking down 31-of-53 shots at North Dakota State on Nov. 9, 2018.
When Creighton Goes to Chicago, Expect the Unexpected
Each of the Bluejays' three victories against DePaul over the past three seasons has brought something unexpected.
In Creighton's 85-82 win on Dec. 29, 2018 the Bluejays got a career-high 20 points from Brooke Kissinger. She finished 7-of-8 from the field, including 6-of-7 from long range in the win. In two seasons at Creighton, Kissinger did not top seven points in any other game.
Playing without the BIG EAST Player of the Year, Jaylyn Agnew, last season due to an injury. The Bluejays rallied from a 40-21 halftime deficit to earn a 63-61 win. Olivia Elger finished with a career-high 28 points, including 16 in the second half.
This season the Bluejays went into the game on Feb. 20 without starting point guard Tatum Rembo or backup Molly Mogensen due to injury and illness. Despite committing 22 turnovers, the Bluejays found a way to shoot a season-high.
Bluejays Use Tenth Different Starting Lineup
There is no doubt that the 2020-21 season has forced every team to adjust and adapt to the unexpected. For the Bluejays those challenges have forced head coach Jim Flanery to use ten unique starting lineups in 15 games. No group of five has started more than three games this
season. (See each starting five on page 27)

Creighton's Keys To the Game
- Rebounding: Marquette has a size advantage, but the Bluejays must crash the boards as they did in the first meeting.
- Ball Handling as a Group: Despite playing without point guards Tatum Rembao and Molly Mogensen, the Bluejays handled the pressure of DePaul. While Marquette doesn't apply the same intensity, Marquette claimed ten steals in the first meeting.
- Making Shots: Creighton shot 30.2% in the first meeting, while Marquette shot 44.1.
