Bluejay Baseball Opens Series with St. John's on Friday

Omaha, Neb. -- A battle of typical BIG EAST Titans begins on Friday as the Bluejays face St. John's in the first of a four-game series at 6:30 pm. Creighton and St. John's have claimed five of the six regular season championships since the BIG EAST was realigned prior to the 2014 season. The Bluejays took the title in 2014, 2017 and 2019. The Red Storm claim the championship in 2015 and 2018, while Xavier was the title in 2017.

Scouting the Red Storm (2021: 13-12, 4-7 BIG EAST)
Entering the weekend at 4-7, the Red Storm have more than struggled out of the gate. St. John's dropped series to Xavier and Georgetown, then split a four-game set with Seton Hall last weekend.
St. John's is hitting .242 as a team, led by Ryan Hogan's .290 and .270 from Carson Bartels.
