2022 (Junior)
- Hayes played in 25 games, starting 21 times for the Bluejays in 2022.
- Limited by injuries, Sterling recorded 14 hits, 14 walks and 11 RBI during the campaign,
- Hayes remained consistent in the field, recording a .980 fielding percentage with 120 putouts and 28 assists.
- In an April 1 win over The Citadel, Hayes reached base three times, going 2-3 at the plate with a double, two RBI, and a run scored.
- Hayes started 29 games at shortstop (17) and first base (12) during the 2021 season.
- He reached base safely in 19 of the first 20 games, including recording at least one hit in 16 contests.
- Sterling finished the season with a .211 average with 23 hits, including nine doubles while scoring 22 runs.
- He started his first season with the Bluejays with a bang, scoring the team’s first run of the year with a solo home run in Creighton’s 11-4 win at Lipscomb on Feb. 26.
- Hayes drove in four runs on a pair of doubles to help the Bluejays to a 9-2 win over Villanova on April 9.

- Sterling made four appearances with just one at bat early on in 2020 before the season was canceled due to the COVID outbreak.
- Hayes lettered all four years and was a team captain during his junior and senior seasons.
- Sterling was First Team All-San Diego County his junior and senior seasons, also winning San Diego Pitcher of the Year in 2017.
- Hayes closed with a .318 career average, including a .475 on-base percentage across 124 games.
- His favorite baseball memory is winning the College World Series.
