Men's Basketball Ranked 14th in Year-End Coaches Poll

Second-best mark in program history
OMAHA, Neb. --Â The Creighton men's basketball team finished 14th in the year-end Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll that was released on April 6 following the completion of the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
It's the second-best finish in program history in the coaches poll, trailing only the No. 9 ranking from a year ago, and eighth time overall the Bluejays have been in the final coaches poll of the season.
Creighton is also one of just five programs to finish the season in the top-15 of the coaches poll each of the past two seasons, joining Baylor, Gonzaga, Florida State and Villanova.
Creighton finished the 2020-21 season with a 22-9 mark and runner-up finishes in the BIG EAST in both the regular-season and conference tournament. The Bluejays reached the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1974 with postseason victories over UC Santa Barbara and Ohio before falling to eventual national runner-up Gonzaga.
Creighton was also 19th in the year-end Associated Press poll, which was released on March 15th prior to the NCAA Tournament. That was CU's sixth time being ranked in the final AP poll, joining 2019-20 (7th), 2002-03 (No. 15), 2013-14 (No. 16), 2011-12 (No. 19) and 2012-13 (No. 22).
The final NCAA NET ranking had Creighton 26th .
