Keelan Terrell Earns BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

Hannah Luke and Jordy Rothwell each earn a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll
OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Women's Soccer Goalkeeper Keelan Terrell was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, Oct. 3. Senior Jordy Rothwell and sophomore Hannah Luke each earned a spot on the weekly honor roll.
The Olathe, Kan. native registered her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season while collecting five save in 180 minutes in between the posts as Creighton earned a pair of 2-0 victories over Marquette and Providence.
Terrell smothered both shots on goal in the Bluejays 2-0 win over Marquette, before completing her fifth clean sheet of the season with three saves in the 2-0 victory over Providence. With the pair of shutouts, Terrell now has 13 career shutouts which ranks seventh on Creighton's all-time career shutouts list. This is Terrell's second BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week award this season.
Rothwell also helped guide the Bluejays to an impressive weekend. Rothwell and the Bluejays back line allowed two shots on goal to Marquette in a 2-0 win on Thursday, while Providence was only able to fire three shots on goal in the Bluejays 2-0 win on Sunday. The Madison, Wis. native also headed in her first goal of the season off a corner kick from Aida Kardovic in the 74th minute to seal the win for the Bluejays against the Golden Eagles on Thursday.
Luke led the Bluejays offense with a goal and an assist last week, also earning a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll. She helped find Lara Kazandjian for the game-winning goal in Creighton's 2-0 win over Marquette. Luke then found the back of the net for the second time this season propelling the Bluejays to a 2-0 win over Providence on Sunday.
Terrell, Luke, Rothwell and the rest of the Creighton squad returns to the pitch on Thursday, Oct. 6 when they head to the East Coast to battle St. John's (5-4-3, 2-2-0 BE) at 6 p.m. CT in Queens, N.Y.
