Keys To the Game on Friday, Feb. 11
- Ball Movement: Last week against #10 Connecticut, DePaul and Marquette the Bluejays' assist numbers were down a bit. Against both Xavier and Butler it is important for Creighton to return to the excellence of ball movement the Bluejays showed earlier this season. Â
- Finding Ronsiek Early: Ronsiek is at her best this season when she can get a few buckets through the cylinder early.
- Rebounding: Xavier averages better than 37 rebounds per game. In the first meeting the Musketeers hit that number exactly, allowing Xavier to outscore Creighton in the paint 24-18. Â
Players to Watch for Creighton
- Carly Bachelor and Tatum Rembao: Carly reached double figures in seven of eight games from Dec. 3 (Georgetown) to Jan. 7 (Marquette), but has done so just twice since. Rembao is the Bluejays' engine.
Blue Demons Zero Bench Points Matched Coyotes
In Creighton's 77-68 win over DePaul on Feb. 4, 2022, the Bluejays limited the Blue Demons to a goose egg off the bench. It was the second time an opponent failed to notch any points of the bench this season. South Dakota also only got points from its starting unit on Dec. 16, 2021. Prior to this season the last time the feat happened was against Marquette in the BIG EAST Tournament on March 5, 2018.
