Women's Basketball Drops Senior Day Game to DePaul, 90-84

Emma Ronsiek leads Bluejays with 19 points and nine rebouds
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton women's basketball team dropped a 90-84 decision to DePaul on Sunday, Feb. 27. Following the game Creighton honored seniors Payton Brotzki, Chloe Dworak and Tatum Rembao following the game.
Sophomore Emma Ronsiek led Creighton with 19 points and nine rebounds but spent much of the game in foul trouble while trying to slow down DePaul's Aneesah Morrow. The Blue Demon freshman forward had a career-high 41 points and snared 18 rebounds to post her 23rd consecutive double-double.
The contest featured 21 lead changes and was tied seven times as two of teh best offensive teams in the country traded baskets for much of the afternoon.
In the end, an 12-0 run in the fourth quarter by DePaul proved too much to overcome, as the Blue Demons (22-9, 14-6 BIG EAST) spoiled Creighton's (20-8, 15-5 BIG EAST) Senior Day.
Creighton will play in next week's BIG EAST Tournament as either the No.3Â seed, with the final bracket being announced later this afternoon.
