Scouting Seton Hall (18-11, 12-8 BE)
Seton Hall is the epitome of a team with a deceiving record. The Pirates struggled early this season, but have won nine of 10 down the stretch. The only blemish was a double overtime battle with the Bluejays.
In the two meetings this season, Creighton bested Seton Hall 83-60 in Omaha on Jan. 14 and clipped the Pirates 97-91 in double overtime on Feb. 20.
Seton Hall has gotten better throughout the season, led by the trio of Lauren Park-Lane (17.5 ppg), Andra Espinoza-Hunter (15.9 ppg) and Sidney Cooks (15.2 ppg).
Â
One chink in the Pirates armor has been how limited the bench is used. Park-Lane and Espinoza-Hunter are averaging 38.2 and 37.7 minutes per game.
If the Pirates have fatigue from the season, it will be amplified as Saturday's contest will be the third this week for Seton Hall.
Scouting Creighton (20-8, 15-5 BE)
The Bluejays will certainly be rested entering the BIG EAST Tournament, having played just one game on Feb. 27 over the past 13 days.
Creighton's ability to attack what their opposition offers is one of the greatest strengths of the program. The Bluejays shoot well from outside, but Creighton's leading scorer (Emma Ronsiek) can pound the ball down low.
A trio of sophomores lead Creighton's offense, getting 15.0 ppg from Emma Ronsiek. Lauren Jensen (12.3 ppg) and Morgan Maly (12.1) are just behind.
Keys To the Game on Saturday, March 5
Players to Watch for Creighton
Lauren Jensen and Morgan Maly: Against DePaul the Bluejays were without Maly due to an injury suffered against the Pirates. Jensen, meanwhile, was hampered by an illness against DePaul. Jensen and Maly are two of the Bluejays' best shooters and will need to be close to full strength for Creighton to make a deep run.
Rembao and Park-Lane are Two of the Best Point Guards in the BIG EAST
An interesting battle on Saturday will be the matchup of Creighton's Tatum Rembao and Seton Hall's Lauren Park-Lane.
Park-Lane is the more proficient scoring option, but both distribute the ball at an impressive rate. Rembao leads the top passing offense in the NCAA as Creighton is atop the country in assists, assists per game and assist-to-turnover ratio. Park-Lane, meanwhile has more assists (210 to 179) and more per game (7.2 to 6.4).
Head-to-head this season, Rembao had 11 assists to Park-Lane's three in Omaha. At Seton Hall those numbers flipped with Park-Lane racking up 12 assists and Rembao with five.

Keys To the Game on Saturday, March 5
- Andra Espinoza-Hunter: In the first meeting the Bluejays held Espinoza-Hunter to just four points and without a field goal. The rematch in South Orange saw her deliver 35 points, hitting 13-of-23 from the field. Chances are she will finish Saturday's game somewhere in the middle.
- Discipline and Execution: Having played two times, including once just 13 days ago, Creighton and Seton Hall know each other well. The team that remain disciplined and execute the respective game plan will have a distinct advantage.
- Fatigue, Rust and Adrenaline: Seton Hall will be playing its third game in five days, while Creighton hasn't played since Feb. 27. The Pirates could be a little tired, the Bluejays could have a little rust. One fact is each team will be fueled by adrenaline early in the game.
