Tom Lilly added Bryant transfer Leanne Kendall and Wichita State transfer Bianca Rademacher
OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton women's tennis head coach Tom Lilly announced the addition of transfers Leanne Kendall (Lakeville, Mass./Bryant) and Bianca Rademacher (Lincoln, Neb./Wichita State), who will join the Bluejays program in the fall of 2022.
Kendall, the Lakeville, Massachusetts native, comes to Creighton after posting 74 wins during her first four season at Bryant University. Last season, Kendall racked up 29 victories, including 12 victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 single slots. As a junior, Kendall earned a spot on the All-NEC First Team Doubles team after teaming up with Adad Bour for five wins in the Covid shorten season. She was also a NEC All-Rookie selection as a freshman recording 12 wins, including 10 at the No. 3 doubles position.
Prior to her time at Bryant, Kendall enjoyed a standout career at Apponequet Regional High School, where she was named The Standard-Times Girls Tennis Player of the Year four-straight years. She earned a No. 275 national, No. 11 New England and No. 7 Massachusetts ranking by TennisRecruiting.net while compiling 228 wins and a 99.1 percent winning percentage as Laker. Kendall was valedictorian of her class and was named an All-Scholastic honoree twice by the Boston Globe.
Rademacher, a former Nebraska Class A State Champion, is welcomed to the Bluejays after battling injuries the previous two season at Wichita State. She finished the 2022 season with 12 combined wins, including nine at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles position. Rademacher served as a member of the Shockers' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll all four semesters.
While playing for Lincoln East, Rademacher won the Nebraska Class A singles crown after posting a perfect 33-0 record as a junior. She helped Lincoln East claim the Class A team championship while battling to a singles state runner-up finish and a 27-3 overall record as a sophomore in 2018 after earning second-team all-state status as a freshman. Rademacher was an all-state selection three-times and ended her career with a 93-6 overall record.
"Leanne was a fantastic leader of her team at Bryant, who made the NCAA Tournament this year, and played well at the No. 1 doubles spot and the top three single positions this season," added Lilly. "Bianca has been injury plagued her first two college seasons, but we hope that she recovers strong this summer and fall and gets back to playing the great tennis we have seen her play around here for many years. We are very excited to add these two to an already strong roster. Leanne and Bianca are both strong players with college experience at a high level. These two really add a lot to our team and it's going to be tough to wait three months before working with all of them."
