About Nebraska
Scouting Nebraska (3-0)
The Huskers enter Sunday's game undefeated, posting impressive home victories versus Northwestern State and Alcorn State as well as a road win at Wyoming.
Alexis Markowski leads the way for Nebraska, averaging a double-double with 16.7 ppg and 10.0 rpg. Joining Markowski has been graduate student Jaz Shelley at 11.7 ppg and a team best 13 assists. Shelley's status is uncertain as she was limited to two minutes in the win over Alcorn State.
Overall five Huskers enter the battle with Creighton averaging double figures. Joining Markowski and Shelley in that category are Natalie Potts (10.7 ppg), Callin Hake (10.7 ppg) and Darian White (10.0 ppg). Â
Scouting #22 Creighton (2-1)
After a pair of fast starts in the first two games, Creighton came out flat against Green Bay and paid the price.
The Bluejays guiding beacon has been Lauren Jensen (18.3 ppg), while Morgan Maly was excellent in the win over South Dakota with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Emma Ronsiek has been her consistent self with double figures in each game to average 15.3 ppg.
One area of concern is the Bluejays slow shooting as Creighton is hitting just 27.8% from long range in the first three games and 40.9% from the field.
Keys To the Game on Sunday, November 19
Players to Watch for Creighton
Mallory Brake and Jayme Horan: Throughout the season Brake and Horan will be critical to Creighton's fortunes. In this game Nebraska will likely try to force the ball to these Bluejays. Brake was dynamic in the wins over North Dakota State and South Dakota, while Horan started to cook against Green Bay.
Flanery vs. Nebraska
Flan is by far the most successful coach against the Huskers, going 9-12 against the intrastate rival.
Flanery versus Williams
Jim Flanery and Nebraska head coach Amy Williams have faced off during each of the past 10 seasons, with Flanery getting the best of the exchanges, 8-3.
Williams, however, led her squad to victories in both WNIT meetings. Williams was the coach at South Dakota for four seasons (12-13 to 15-16) before taking the reins of the Huskers seven seasons ago.

Keys To the Game on Sunday, November 19
- Making Markowski Work: Nebraska's Alexis Markowski scored 11 points as a freshman when the two teams met last in Pinnacle Bank Arena. Last year in Omaha she has 12 points and 11 rebounds. She is bound to get her touches, yet Creighton must make her work for each point or rebound.
- Three-point Shooting: Neither team has been hot from long range this season, but the Huskers are far less reliant on the three-point shot.
- Opening Quarter: While the game will certainly not be won in the first ten minutes, playing uphill against a hostile crowd can make things much harder.
