Omaha, Neb. -- As the calendar approaches the beginning of August, we take a moment to check in on how former Creighton Baseball players are doing in the minors and MLB.

Bluejays in the MLB in 2023
- Anthony Bemboom (Baltimore Orioles)
- Bemboom has appeared in six games this season for the Orioles, the last coming on July 2, going 2-for-11 (.182) with two walks. He was sent down to AAA Norfolk (Tides) on July 12.
- Ty Blach (Colorado Rockies)
- Blach has appeared in eight games with the Rockies, earning the start on July 23. The southpaw has thrown 16.1 innings with seven strikeouts and a 5.51 ERA. Over his last three outings Blach has recorded six consecutive scoreless frames.
- Nicky Lopez (Kansas City Royals)
- Lopez has appeared in 65 games for the Royals in 2023, collecting 33 hits (.213) with 13 RBI. Nicky went 2-for-3 with an RBI in a start at third base. He has played 34 games at second base, 27 games third base, five at shortstop and two in left field.
- Darin Ruf (San Francisco Giants and Milwaukee Brewers)
- Ruf has seen action in 20 games this season, nine for San Francisco and 11 with the Brewers. He is hitting .239, going 11-for-49 with three doubles. The former Bluejay first baseman is currently on the 60-day injured list.

- Isaac Collins (Biloxi Shuckers - AA - Milwaukee Brewers)
- In his fourth season (2023) at the professional level, Collins has played in 56 games, including three for the AAA Nashville Sounds. He has a .270 average (43-for-159) with 10 doubles, five home runs and an .854 on-base percentage.
- Ryan Fitzgerald (Worcester Red Sox - AAA - Boston Red Sox)
- Despite not being drafted after the he graduated in 2016, Fitzgerald worked his way from independent ball in 2017 to the minors in 2018 and is on the cusp of reaching the major leagues. During the 2023 season Fitzgerald has played in 63 games, hitting .309 (67-for-217) with 19 doubles, 10 home runs adn 52 RBI.
- Nick Gile (Arizona Rookie League - Colorado Rockies)
- A Bluejay during the 2020 season, Gile closed his collegiate career at Illinois State. In his second season at the professional level, Gile has appeared in 31 games this season, hitting .238 (24-for-101) with 13 extra-base hits and 19 RBI.
- Jake Holton (Erie SeaWolves - AA - Detroit Tigers)
- Over 70 games during the 2023 season, Holton has a .243 average with 58 hits (58-for-239) and 31 RBI. Holton has a .775 on-base percentage, working 47 walks this season.
- Jordan Hovey (Windy City Thunderbolts - Independent League)
- The former Creighton third baseman and volunteer coach is continuing his profession career, playing his third season at the independent level. Hovey has appeared in 14 games this season, pitching twice for a squad led by former major leaguer Richie Sexson.
- Denson Hull (York Revolution - Independent League)
- After a pair of seasons at the minor league level, Hull continued his career in 2023 with his second season on the independent level. Playing since early April with the York Revolution in the Atlantic League, Hull has appeared in 25 games, tossing 41.2 innings. He has recorded 35 strikeouts and started five contests.
- Justin Kleinsorge (Grand Junction Jackalopes - Independent League)
- After wrapping up his Bluejay career in May of 2023, Kleinsorge is one of two Bluejays to continue his career with the Grand Junction Jackalopes in Colorado. Kleinsorge has appeared in 10 games, starting nine contests. He has thrown 46.2 innings, with a 5-1 record and 51 strikeouts.
- Andrew Meggs (Grand Junction Jackalopes - Independent League)
- Joining Kleinsorge on the Jackalopes is fellow 2023 graduate Meggs. The California native joined Grand Junction in the latter portion of the summer, playing eight games and collecting 36 at-bats. Meggs has a .303 average with two doubles and seven RBI.
- Will Robertson (New Hampshire Fisher Cats - AA - Toronto Blue Jays)
- In his third season at the professional level, Robertson has appeared in 69 games with a .206 average (49-for-238). Robertson has 25 extra-base hits, including nine home runs and 25 doubles
- Alan Roden (New Hampshire Fisher Cats - AA - Toronto Blue Jays)
- Another pair of former teammates connected on July 17 when Roden was elevated to AA, joining former teammate Will Robertson. Roden has played in 76 games during the 2023 season, posing a .321 average, including a .318 mark with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Roden has 93 combined hits in 2023, collecting 23 doubles and four home runs.
- Keith Rogalla (Kane County Cougars - Independent League)
- A 2017 graduate, Rogalla played five seasons in the minors with an ascent as high as AAA (Salt Lake - Los Angeles Angels). Over the last two season he has pitched for the Kane County Cougars at the Independent League near Chicago. Rogalla has appeared in 27 games this season, tossing 28.2 innings with 21 strikeouts.
- Elliot Soto (St. Paul Saints - AAA - Minnesota Twins)
- Soto made his MLB debut in 2020 (Los Angeles Angels) and was called up to the MLB Roster last season (Minnesota). Soto continued his 13-year professional career in 2023, playing 53 games with the St. Paul Saints. He posted a .213 average this season, but was placed on the injured list in mid July.
- Dylan Tebrake (Binghamton Rumble Ponies - AA - New York Mets)
- In just his second season at the professional level, Tebrake earned a promotion to AA on July 14. The former Bluejay righty has an impressive 2.34 ERA in 2023, tossing 30.0 innings and notching 46 strikeouts. Tebrake has appeared in 17 games, including three for Binghamton.
- Jared Wegner (TBA - TBA - New York Yankees)
- Wegner played his first four seasons of collegiate ball with the Bluejays, before transferring to Arkansas for the 2023 season. He has signed his professional contract with the New York Yankees, but has yet to be assigned to a minor league team.
