
Women's Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

Bluejays open regular season on Nov. 6 in Sioux Falls Against North Dakota State
Omaha, Neb. -- Known for consistently challenging themselves during non-conference play, Creighton women's basketball and head coach Jim Flanery reached the mark once more with the slate for 2023-24. The Bluejays host South Dakota, Green Bay, Northern Iowa and South Dakota State in the latter months of 2023. Creighton meanwhile travels to Nebraska, Wyoming and Drake. The final three non-conference contests takes the Bluejays to neutral ground for battles with North Dakota State, Georgia Tech and Michigan State.
The Bluejays have one exhibition contest to get the squad rolling on as Creighton hosts Nebraska-Kearney on Monday, Oct. 30th in D.J. Sokol Arena at 6:00 pm.
Tipping off the regular season is the first neutral site matchup as the Bluejays face North Dakota State at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Monday, Nov. 6.
Creighton returns home to Omaha to take on South Dakota on Friday, Nov. 10 in D.J. Sokol Arena, followed by a home contest with Green Bay on Thursday, Nov. 16.
The annual meeting with Nebraska comes in Lincoln this season on Sunday, Nov. 19.
Just a few days later the Bluejays make their third trip to Cancun, Mexico in the last 11 seasons, participating in the Cancun Challenge. Creighton opens the tournament on Thanksgiving, playing Georgia Tech on Thursday, Nov. 23. The following day the Bluejays face their second Big Ten opponent of the season battling Michigan State on Friday, Nov. 24.
After a nine-day break, the non-conference portion of the schedule wraps up against former Bluejay Tanya Warren and Northern Iowa on Sunday, Dec. 3.
The final two road non-conference contests of the 2023-24 season take Creighton to Wyoming on Dec. 10 and to Drake on Dec. 17. Meanwhile the final home non-conference contest brings South Dakota State to Omaha on Dec. 21.
