Omaha, Neb. -- Coming off one of its best games of the season, #22 Creighton Women's Basketball closes a quick two-game homestand against Providence on Sunday, January 14 at 1:00 p.m. in D.J. Sokol Arena.

Guided by the trio of Emma Ronsiek (18.4 ppg), Lauren Jensen (16.5 ppg) and Morgan Maly (13.8 ppg), Creighton has won five of its last six games.
The Bluejays defense has held the opposition to 40% or less from the field in nine contests, all victories (9-0), including a season low by Butler of 31.6 percent.

Providence's season has mimicked their conference season with BIG EAST wins over Seton Hall and DePaul, followed by losses to St. John's and #12 Connecticut. One reason the Friars' season has fluctuated has been significant injuries. Despite the upheaval in the lineup, the Friars upset Seton Hall in New Jersey.

- Defending the Paint and the Glass: In Providence's win last season in Omaha the Friars notched 42 points in the paint. Three years ago it was rebounding that gave Providence the win as the Friars grabbed 37 rebounds.
