Keys To the Game on January 24 (at Georgetown)
Bluejays Find the Road Quite Friendly
Creighton is the nation's only team from a "Power 6" conference with five road wins in both men's and women's basketball this season.
The only teams nationally that can say that (from any league) are Creighton, Eastern Washington, Fairfield, Green Bay, Montana, Princeton and St. Thomas.
Last season Creighton went 12-3 on the road, while the Bluejays are off to a 5-1 in road games this season. Two other seasons saw the Bluejays notched double-digit road wins with Flanery at the helm. Creighton closed the 2003-04 season at 11-6, while the 2002-03 season ended with a 10-7 road mark.
Maly's Free Throw Streak Approaching Agnew
Having hit her final 10 free throws last season and a streak of 31 consecutive free throws made to start the 2023-24 season, senior Morgan Maly has moved into second in program history with 41 consecutive made from the charity stripe.
The last time Maly misfired on a free throw came against St. John's on Feb. 4, 2023. She was 0-for-2 in that game. Over the final nine games of last season and the first 17 in 2023-24 she has been flawless.
The program record is held by current assistant coach Jaylyn Agnew with 52 straight made to close her Bluejay career during the 2019-20 season.
Prior to Agnew the record was held by Sam Schuett with 40 consecutive from the charity stripe during the 2009-10 season.
Bluejays Bankrupt Wildcats Calling Plan
Creighton's defense helped end Villanova's 636-game streak of consecutive contests with at least one made three-pointer on Sunday, January 21 as the Wildcats went 0-for-17 from long distance.
Under the guidance of Jim Flanery, the Bluejays have posted a goose egg in the opponents trifecta column 17 times.

Keys To the Game on January 24 (at Georgetown)
- Slowing Ransom: In Ransom's last two home games against Creighton she has delivered 24 and 18 points respectively. She is the driving force on offense for the Hoyas and also can turn defense into offensive with her ability to take the ball away
- Rebounding: Georgetown has the size advantage, so Creighton must gang rebound to prevent second and third chances for the Hoyas Â
- Early Offense: Getting off to a fast start in the opening quarter has been critical all season, but against the Hoyas strong defense an early lead will be an immense edge.
