Men's Soccer Falls Late to (RV) Missouri State, 1-0

Kansas City, Mo. -- An unfortunate late goal struck Creighton Men's Soccer for the second consecutive match as the Bluejays fell to (RV) Missouri State on Tuesday, October 1.
The loss moved Creighton to 4-3-3 on the season, while the Bears climbed to 6-2-1 overall.
Missouri State's game-winning goal came in the 90th minute (89:10) as Jess Barea fed Fumiya Shiraishi as the Bear forward beat Creighton goalkeeper Blake Gillingham.
A defensive battle saw the Bears fire 11 shots in the match, while Creighton fired off eight shots.
The Bluejays created five corners to two for Missouri State.
The late tally by Missouri State stung in bit more as Creighton surrendered a goal to Providence with just four seconds remaining to force a 2-2 draw on Saturday, February 28.
Creighton returns to the pitch on Friday, October 4 as the Bluejays host DePaul at 6:00 p.m. in Morrison Stadium.
