#22 Women's Basketball Returns to Road at Butler on Sunday

Omaha, Neb. -- After a pair of home victories extended their win streak to seven, #22 Creighton Women's Basketball returns to the road to face Butler (Feb. 4) and Xavier (Feb. 6). The Bluejays bested Butler 89-53 in Omaha on Jan. 10.

The trio of Emma Ronsiek, Lauren Jensen and Morgan Maly lead Creighton as Ronsiek is the leading scorer with 18.0 ppg. Jensen and Maly are just a step back at 16.9 ppg an 15.1 ppg respectively.
Over the last two wins over Seton Hall and Marquette it was the Bluejays' defense that made the difference. Creighton limited Seton Hall to 1-for-17 (5.9%) in the fourth quarter. Three days later the Bluejays held Marquette to 5-for-13 (38.5%), including 4-for-6 in the final three minutes after the game was out of reach.
