About Villanova
Scouting #21 Creighton (21-4, 12-3 BIG EAST)
Creighton battled #15 Connecticut to a 31-31 halftime score, but were unable to continue through the second half as the Bluejays fell 73-53 in Hartford. The last loss to the Huskies spurred an 11-game win streak, this time the Bluejays could run into Connecticut again in five contests.
Moving forward the Bluejays close the regular season with home contests against Villanova, Xavier and a road game at Seton Hall.
Emma Ronsiek's 17.7 ppg leads Creighton, while Jensen is just a step back at 17.2 ppg. Morgan Maly join the duo to form a Big Three averaging 14.6 ppg and a team-high 6.2 rpg.
Scouting Villanova (17-9, 10-5 BIG EAST)
A team flirting with the NCAA bubble, Villanova swept the season series from Marquette. However, the Wildcats also have dropped games to Butler and Providence. Saturday's game with the Bluejays as well as a looming matchup with Connecticut will make or brake Villanova's fate on Selection Sunday.
Lucy Olsen leads the Wildcats and the BIG EAST with 23.5 ppg, while Christina Dalce comes to Omaha averaging 10.0 rpg.
Â
In the first matchup the Bluejays held Villanova to 0-for-17 from long range, breaking a streak of better than 600 consecutive
games with at least one made three-pointer. Despite not connecting from beyond the arc, Olsen finished with 29 points. The rest of the Wildcat squad combined for 20 points in Creighton's 63-49 win on Jan. 21.

Keys To the Game on February 24 (vs. Villanova)
- Ball Security: Both the Bluejays and Wildcats rank in the top-15 of the NCAA for fewest turnovers per game. That puts a premium on taking care of the basketball and preventing live ball turnovers.
- Rebounding: Creighton bested Villanova 45-33 on the boards in the first game. Despite that Dalce grabbed five offensive rebounds and nine boards overall. Morgan Maly countered with 13 rebounds for the Bluejays. Â
- Making Olsen Work on Both Ends: Lucy Olsen scored 29 points in the first meeting, but needed 29 shots to do so. Mallory Brake and Molly Mogensen are expected to draw the defensive assignment against Olsen, but the Bluejays must also make her work on the defensive end.
