Dix helped Creighton to win over Utah Tech
OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton guard Josh Dix was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Monday, Dec. 29, in recognition of his best all-around game to date as a Bluejay.
In Creighton's lone game last week, Dix had 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals in 25 turnover-free minutes of a 92-69 win vs. Utah Tech.
The Council Bluffs, Iowa native made 4-of-6 shots from the field and 3-of-5 three-pointers, stretching his streak to 25 straight games with a trey.Â
Dix is the only Creighton player in the last 30 years to have a game with at least 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals without a turnover.
The senior is Creighton's first player to earn BIG EAST Player of the Week honors since Ryan Kalkbrenner on March 9, 2025.
Dix and the Bluejays return to action on Tuesday at 8 p.m. when they host Butler at CHI Health Center Omaha.
