Trio of Bluejays Earn United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region Honors

Kansas City, Mo. -- The trio of Matthew Reed, Miguel Arilla and Omar Ramadan were recognized for their performance on the pitch this season, when United Soccer Coaches Association announced the All-Region Teams on Tuesday, December 9.
Reed earned All-East Region First Team, while Arilla collected Second Team and Ramadan checked in on the Third Team.
An All-BIG EAST Second Team selection, Reed logged 1,048 minutes, appearing in 15 matches, including 14 starts. The Bluejays' defensive leader, Reed contributed three goals and tied the team lead with four assists, totaling 10 points. His best match was a three-point performance in a 2-0 victory against Denver on September 5, in which he scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute and assisted in another goal in the 89th minute to close out the match. Reed earned BIG EAST Defender of the Week once and BIG EAST Honor Roll once.
Earning All-BIG EAST First Team honors for the first time in his career and his second career All-BIG EAST honors, Arilla closed the season with a team high in goals (6), assists (4), and points (16). Arilla saw action in all 16 matches, starting 12 and playing 825 minutes. He delivered at least one point in nine matches, highlighted by a three-point effort (one goal and one assist) in Creighton's 2-0 win over DePaul on September 27.Â
Ramadan closed the 2025 campaign, tallying three points with one goal and one assist. In a pivotal conference match against Butler, Omar scored the first goal of the match and capitalized on assisting on an Arilla goal a few minutes later to put the game out of reach and secure a 3-1 Creighton victory over Butler on October 25.
