Ava Limbo hired to direct spirit squads
Creighton University is excited to announce the launch of a co-ed cheerleading program beginning in the fall of 2025. This initiative marks a major step forward in the University's commitment to expanding student involvement and school spirit on campus and at athletic events.
The co-ed cheer team will bring high energy and enthusiasm to Creighton Athletics, rallying fans and supporting Bluejay teams throughout the season. The program will combine both traditional cheer elements with stunting, crowd engagement and gameday performance.
While previous cheer experience, especially in standing tumbling and stunting, is preferred, students of all backgrounds are encouraged to express their interest. Whether you're a freshman looking to make new connections or a current student wanting to showcase your school pride and athleticism, this is a great opportunity to be a part of a new legacy at Creighton.
Students seeking more information about the program, including how to get involved or prepare for auditions, can reach out to Creighton's new director of spirit programs, Ava Limbo, at spirit@creighton.edu or fill out the cheer interest form HERE.
"I'm incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of Director of Spirit Programs at Creighton," said Limbo. "As an Omaha native, it is a privilege and an honor to lead such passionate and talented students who embody the Bluejay spirit. I look forward to building on the rich traditions of Creighton while bringing fresh energy and vision to our spirit programs. Go Jays!"Â
