OMAHA, Neb. --Â The Creighton softball team wasted no time landing its first transfer of the summer on Monday with the signing of McLennan Community College standout pitcher Landrie Harris. Harris is an elite pitcher who will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Â
Harris, a Flower Mound, Texas native, has spent the 2025 season at McLennan CC, where she has helped the No. 2 nationally ranked Highlanders to a 52-6 overall record, a North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Championship and a Southwest District B Championship while punching their ticket to the NJCAA Division I Softball World Series this week.
Â
This season, Harris has appeared in 16 games, posting a 13-1 record and a 1.86 ERA with 64 strikeouts in 67.2 innings of work. A two-time NTJCACÂ Pitcher of the Week, Harris earned First Team All-NTJCACÂ honors, recording a 0.90 ERA with 42 strikeouts and an 8-0 record in league play this spring.
Â
Prior to her time at McLennan, Harris signed with Grand Canyon where she redshirted her first season out of Flower Mound High School. She joined the Lopes' bullpen as an extremely decorated student-athlete, earning district praise for academic and athletic achievements. Â
Â
Landrie posted a 57-14 record with a 1.20 ERA while at Flower Mound High School, where she was named a two-time Metroplex All-Star, a two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association Academic All-American, the 2021 Dallas Morning News High School Pitcher of the Year and the 2022 Flower Mound Defensive Player of the Year.
Â
In addition, Harris established Flower Mound High School career pitching records with 727 strikeouts, a 1.21 ERA and 22 shutouts, while ranking second in total wins with 57.
Â
Harris will join the Bluejays 2026 signing class of Emma Bailey (Lafayette, La.), Ava Drehs (Naperville, Ill.), Audrey Gilman (Kampsville, Ill.), Zoey Greenwood (New Boston, Texas), Aubriella Martinez (Lantana, Texas), Keegan Mayhue (Elm Mott, Texas), Karina Trevino (Robstown, Texas) and Anelina Vazquez (Chicago, Ill.) on the field next season.
Â
Creighton finished its 2025 season with a 30-25 overall record and a runner-up finish at the BIG EAST Tournament for the second consecutive season, while posting its first back-to-back 30-win season since 2009 and 2010.
