
Softball Adds Chancelor Colomb As Graduate Assistant Coach

OMAHA, Neb. --Â Chancelor Colomb has been named an graduate assistant coach for the Creighton Softball team, head coach Krista Wood announced on Monday afternoon. Â

Colomb comes to Omaha after spending the 2025 season as a coaching intern at Florida State, where he assisted in player development, opponent scouting, analytics and the overall day-to-day operations of the FSU softball program. In his lone season with the Seminoles, Colomb helped lead FSU to a 49-12 overall record and a third consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance.

Prior to his time at Florida State, Colomb spent two seasons as a student manager at Southeastern Louisiana. The Lady Lions went 87-31 during those two seasons, winning the Southland Conference title and advancing to the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional Final in 2024. During that time, Colomb managed the day-to-day operations of the program, while helping with scouting, on-campus recruiting and camps, as well as assisting in the operations and care of the SLU Softball facility.

Colomb previously served as head coach of the Ascension Catholic High School softball team, guiding the Bulldogs to the programs first district championship and Louisiana state semifinals since 2016 in the spring of 2024. His successful guidance in the dugout helped him garner District 1A-8 Coach of the Year honors following his lone season with Ascension Catholic.
Colomb graduated from Southeastern Louisiana in May, receiving his bachelor of science degree in sport management.

Creighton finished its 2025 season with a 30-25 overall record and a runner-up finish at the BIG EAST Tournament for the second consecutive season, while posting its first back-to-back 30-win season since 2009 and 2010.
