Karmazin Named BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week

OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton's Julia Karmazin has been named Female Golfer of the Week by the BIG EAST Conference.
Karmazin took 11th to lead the Creighton women's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Texas State Invitational on Tuesday in New Braunfels, Texas.
A sophomore from Omaha, Karmazin compiled rounds of 73, 74 and 73 for a 220 total. Her 11th place showing (of 84) marked the third time in her last four outings dating to the fall that she's posted a top-15 finish.
Karmazin is Creighton's first Female Golfer of the Week since Eleanor Hudepohl on Oct. 4, 2023.
