Feldman Leads Men's Golf at Torrey Pines

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Grant Feldman finished second at the UC San Diego Invitational after closing the tournament with rounds of 67 and 65 at historic Torrey Pines.
Feldman had his fourth top-five finish in seven events during his senior campaign, shooting rounds of 73, 67 and 65 for a career-low 205 total to tie for CU's third-best 54-hole score since 2003.
A pair of Bluejays, Owen Price and Jacob Kutner, tied for 15th place after posting a total of 213. Price had rounds of 73, 72 and 68, while Kutner turned in scorecards of 76, 69 and 68. The 68 was a collegiate-low by Kutner, while Price's 68 matched his best loop of the season.
Radley Mauney tied for 69th place with a 224 total, bookending rounds of 75 with a second round 74.
Brock Kuhlman tied for 73rd, as his rounds of 75, 73 and 77 were good for a 225 aggregate.
Gavin Gerch placed 83rd after following up back-to-back circuits of 77 with a 74 on Tuesday.
Rounding out the Bluejay contingent was Henry Kuehne (77-78-75), who tied for 87th with a 230. Both Kuehne and Kutner competed as individuals in the tournament and didn't count towards CU's team score.
Loyola Marymount won the 17-team tournament with an 846 total after scores of 279, 282 and 285. That was seven shots in front of in-state rival UC Santa Barbara (280-288-285=853). CU finished four shots behind league foe DePaul (287-289-284). The tournament was hosted at Torrey Pines, which measured 7,258 yards on its Par 72 layout. Medalist honors went to Nateeshvar Anatha Ganesh after the Loyola Marymount standout compiled scores of 66, 65 and 72 to edge Feldman by two strokes in the field of 104 competitors.
CU is back in action on Monday and Tuesday at the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational presented by L.A.B. Golf at Chambers Bay Golf Club in University Place, Wash.
