
Five Golfers Honored On Academic All-District Teams

Three women and two men recognized
OMAHA, Neb. - Three female and two male student-athletes from Creighton University golf programs have been selected to the 2026 Academic All-District® Men's & Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. The teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
The Creighton honorees include Brock Kuhlman (men's golf), Owen Price (men's golf), Julia Karmazin (women's golf), Katharine Marshall (women's golf) and Karsen Morrison (women's golf). Â This is the second straight recognition for each golfer except Karmazin.
Kuhlman is a Marketing major from Columbus, Neb. The junior ranked fourth on the team with a 74.28 scoring average that included eight rounds of par or better and one Top 10 finish. His best finish was a tie for fifth in the season-opening Wildcat Invitational last September.
Price hails from Tacoma, Wash., and the junior is a Financial Analysis major. He ranked second on the team with a 72.428 scoring average in 2025-26 and shot par or better in 13-of-24 rounds. Price shot a 6-under 210 to tie for fourth place at the BIG EAST Championships in May, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. His 73.00 career scoring average ranks second best in program history.
Karmazin ranked second on the team with a 76.10 scoring average in her sophomore campaign. The Omaha native was a two-time BIG EAST Golfer of the Week and shot CU's lowest round of the season when she fired a four-under 67 at the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate on March 24th.
Marshall is a junior from Elburn, Ill., who is an Accounting major. Marshall led the Bluejays with two Top 10 finishes and was third on the squad with a 77.40 scoring average in 30 rounds.
A Financial Insurance Risk Management major, Morrison is a junior from North Platte, Nebraska. Morrison averaged 80.33 strokes while playing in 27 of CU's 30 rounds, including a low round of 74 on two occasions.
To be nominated for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.  Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members and announced on July 7, 2026.
The CSC Academic All-America® and All-District® programs cover 23 sports in its at-large category, including 10 men's sports (fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo and wrestling) as well as a dozen women's sports (beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, water polo and wrestling).
