HIGH SCHOOL: Played two seasons of softball for Todd Peterson at Papillion-La Vista High School after starting softball career at Gretna … In 2013 the team finished as the State Class A Runner-Up a year after claiming third place in the Class A tourney in 2012, clinching district championships both years along the way … Attained All-State Honorable Mention recognition for Class A in each of her three seasons … Also won All-Conference laurels as a sophomore … After hitting .345 last in fall of 2013, finished her career with a .403 career batting average … Scored 73 runs, stole 40 bases and totaled 38 RBI in her three-year career at the plate … Also boasts a .922 career fielding percentage … In the offseason starred as a middle infielder for the Nebraska Gold club squad that placed No. 17 at the Premier Nationals in both 2013 and 2014 and ranked as high as No. 14 nationally … Also accomplished in track, participating all four years as a hurdler … Qualified for states in 100-low hurdles … Made the 100-low hurdle district and metro finals in final two seasons … Conference runner-up as a sophomore in the event after claiming a district medal as a freshman … Four-year honor roll student … Member of the One Act state championship teams in 2010 and 2011, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the PL Club … Volunteered at the LYDIA House and participated in Susan G. PERSONAL: The daughter of Geni and Mike Evans … Has two older brothers, Jordan a 2014 Creighton graduate and Tanner a junior on Drake University’s football team … Father Mike was a three-year wrestler at Nebraska … Plans to study public relations at Creighton.
