2022-23: Junior at Creighton:
• Has played in five NCAA Tournament victories, second-most in Creighton history.
• Started season 11-for-34 from the field but made 13-of-20 shots in the final 14 contests.
• Had four assists and tied career-high with three steals in win vs. North Dakota (Nov. 10).
• Also had four assists and three steals vs. Holy Cross (Nov. 14).
• Scored a season-high seven points and dished two assists in win vs. UC Riverside (Nov. 17).
• Notched his first points since Nov. 17th when he scored four points vs. Arizona State (Dec. 12), including his first three-pointer of the year.
• Scored four points and owned two steals at Marquette (Dec. 16).
• Tied season-high with seven points vs. Seton Hall (Jan. 3).
• Had two points and an assist while tying season-high with 19 minutes vs. No. 21 Connecticut (Feb. 11).
• Buried career-high three three-pointers to score nine points in 15 minutes of road win at St. John’s (Feb. 18).
• Scored eight points and added three rebounds and an assist in win vs. Georgetown (March 1).
2021-22: Medical Redshirt at Creighton
• Played in six games before missing the rest of the season due to injury and being granted a medical redshirt.
• Averaged 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 16.7 minutes per game as a reserve.
• Made season debut with four points vs. Nebraska (Nov. 16).
• Owned nine points, two assists and two steals in win vs. North Dakota State (Nov. 30).
• Last action came on Dec. 4 vs. Iowa State.
2020-21: Sophomore at Creighton
• Averaged 3.3 points and 1.5 assists per game while playing in 30 games, including a pair of starts.
• Tied for fifth on the team with 22 steals.
• Team allowed 1.60 points per minute with him on the floor, compared to 1.74 points per minute when he was out of the game.
• Forced a miss from point blank range and grabbed defensive rebound in final seconds of Creighton’s NCAA Tournament win against UC Santa Barbara (March 20).
• Helped hold Ohio star Jason Preston to 1-for-10 shooting and four points (March 22) as Creighton advanced to its first Sweet 16 since 1974.
• Made 17-of-23 free throws.
• Made first start of season on Jan. 9 vs. St. John’s, finishing with 10 points, three rebounds and three assists.
• Also started at Butler, leading CU with four assists (Jan. 16).
• Tied career-high with 11 points vs. Kennesaw State (Dec. 4).
• Scored seven points in 13 minutes of win vs. Nebraska (Dec. 11).
• Made all three shot attempts vs. Seton Hall (Jan. 6).
• Inserted for defense on final possession of 71-68 win at Marquette (Feb. 6).
• Tied career-high with three steals in win at Georgetown (Feb. 9).
• Buried a pair of three-pointers and scored eight points at No. 10 Villanova (March 3).
• Picked up first blocked shot of the season vs. Butler (March 6) while tying his season-best with four assists.
• Had eight points and two steals in BIG EAST Tournament win vs. Butler (March 11), making both three-point attempts.
2019-20: Freshman at Creighton
• Averaged 2.7 points, 1.4 assists and 1.4 rebounds while appearing in 27 games as a freshman, including a pair of starts.
• Became Creighton’s third true freshman in 20 years to start the season-opener, joining Doug McDermott and Khyri Thomas.
• Owned eight points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in his debut vs. Kennesaw State (Nov. 5), the most steals by a freshman in a CU debut since 2007.
• Had 10 points vs. San Diego State (Nov. 28).
• Dished six assists without a turnover in win vs. Midland (Dec. 28).
• Returned from missing four games due to injury with a flourish, notching season-high 11 points and adding a pair of steals in win vs. DePaul (Feb. 15). Also made his first career three-pointer vs. DePaul as part of a 4-for-4 shooting night.
• Tied career-high with six assists versus Georgetown (March 4), adding two steals and his first career blocked shot.
Summer 2019: Australia Trip
• Averaged 5.3 points, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game during three games in Australia, including one start.
Sunrise Christian Academy
• Played for coach Achoki Moikobu.
• Ranked 190th in final 247Sports.com composite recruiting rankings.
• School is located just outside of Wichita in Bel Aire, Kansas.
Omaha Burke High School
• Named Nebraska’s Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior.
• Named honorary captain of the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star’s All-Nebraska teams in 2017-18.
• Led Class A in scoring (24.6 ppg.) as a senior, also contributing 3.8 assists per game and shooting 39 percent from three-point range.
• Second Team All-State pick as a junior when he averaged 22.1 points and 4.3 assists per game.
• Third Team All-State when he scored 13.2 points and 3.8 rebounds as a sophomore.
• Averaged 7.9 points per game as a freshman, moving into the starting five by the fifth game of the season.
• Scored 1,582 career points, breaking a 41-year-old school record formerly held by Jim Gregory, adding 255 assists and 147 steals.
• Helped team to 53 wins in four seasons.
• Played for coach Kevin Kobs.
• Played AAU for the OSA Crusaders for coaches Bob Franzese and Andy King.
• Honor Roll student.
• Committed to Creighton in July of 2018, three days after receiving a scholarship offer to his dream school.

• Grandfather Alvin Mitchell Sr. was Omaha
Central High School’s point guard when it was state runner-up in 1967 and his father Alvin Mitchell Jr. was All-State at Burke High School who went on to play for Nebraska, Cincinnati and Omaha.
• Nickname is Reef.
