2022-23: Freshman at Creighton
• Had two points and an assist in his collegiate debut vs. North Dakota (Nov. 10).
• Also dished an assist vs. Holy Cross (Nov. 14).
• Buried first career three-point attempt vs. Georgetown (March 1).
• Made NCAA Tournament debut in Sweet 16 win vs. Princeton (March 24), playing the final 19 seconds.
• Walk-on guard who won a state title in high school.
• Dished an assist in exhibition win vs. Drury (Oct. 30).
• First Utah prep product to appear in a Creighton game in more than 50 years.
American Fork High School
• Named Provo Daily Herald’s 2022 Utah Valley Boys Basketball Player of the Year after helping American Fork to the Class 6A state title.
• After being the No. 10 seed heading into the tournament, the Cavemen defeated Corner Canyon 43-39 in the title game at Marriott Center.
• Averaged 9.8 points per game as a senior, while also making 42 three-pointers and leading the team with 47 steals.
• Senior year team started the season 7-12 before winning its final nine games.
• Helped team to state semifinals as a junior, when he was a teammate of current Michigan State freshman Jaxon Kohler.
• Finished high school career with 646 points, 214 assists, 93 three-pointers and 101 steals.
• Coached by Ryan Cuff.
Lone Peak High School
• Spent his freshman season at Lone Peak before transferring to American Fork.
Personal
• Son of Chris and Dawn Young.
• Has a sister, Elle, as well as brothers Saxon and Taj.
• His dad, Chris, also won a high school state title in basketball.
• Chose Creighton because it was a good fit.
• Dream dinner guest would be God.
• Favorite pro team is the Utah Jazz.
• Mom’s advice is to have fun.
• Favorite saying is Let It Fly.
• Best summer vacation was a trip to Lake Powell.
• Dream car is an Aston Martin 177.
• Favorite super hero is Iron Man.
