Eric Wordekemper

After ending his pro career following the 2015 season, Wordekemper has returned to alma mater as the volunteer assistant in 2015.
Wordekemper spent the 2014 & 2015 seasons as an undergraduate assistant coach, completing his degree in leadership studies.
A 10-year veteran in pro ball, Eric was drafted by the New York Yankees following the 2005 season, pitching at the A, AA & AAA levels for the Bronx Bombers. Wordekemper pitched at the AAA level for the Yankees in 2006 (Columbus) as well as 2009-11 (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre).
Over his 10-year professional career, Eric amassed a combined 22-13 record, tossing 418.1 innings in 276 appearances. Wordekemper had a combined 2.73 ERA, recording 331 strikeouts and allowing just 140 walks.
During his three seasons as a Bluejay (2003-05), Wordekemper posted a combined 14-8 record over 173.1 innings. His best season came in 2005 as he delivered a flawless 6-0 record in 43.1 innings. That season Wordekemper started 10 games, allowing just five walks and recording 36 strikeouts.
