2008 (Redshirted): Willand redshirted in his first year in the program after being sidelined with an injury for much of the season.
High School: Named to the All-Nebraska Team by the Omaha World-Herald after his senior season ... Named second-team super-state by the Lincoln Journal Star ... On the mound, he posted a 7-0 record with a 1.07 ERA for head coach Bill Lynam ... At the plate, he hit .368, led the state of Nebraska with 39 RBIs and tied for the lead with five home runs ... As a junior, he maintained a 2.14 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 16 innings of work ... In the summer, he played for the MP Builders ... Last summer, the team went 41-10 ... Suffered his first loss of the 2007 spring or summer seasons in the state tournament in August despite striking out 10 batters and hitting a home run in the game ... Holds more than five school records, both pitching and hitting ... Played in the Collin-Orcutt All-Star game ... Struck out 17 batters in a game last summer ... Also was a standout in football for the Titans, earning honorable mention all-state recognition.
