2025 (Junior at Creighton)
Appeared in 52 games, earning 51 starts at third base during the 2025 season ... Hit .326 on the year, scattering 44 hits ... Paced the team with 11 doubles and ranked third with six home runs ... Drove in 34 runs while scoring 22 of her own ... Led the team and ranked sixth in the BIG EAST with 32 walks, a total that ranks tied for sixth-most in a single season in program history ... Paced the team and ranked eighth in the BIG EAST with a .463 on-base percentage and ranked third on the squad with a .541 slugging percentage ... Posted 12 multi-hit and seven multi-RBI games ... Recorded a .955 fielding percentage, tying for third in the BIG EAST and ranking second on the team with 91 assists ... Opened the season with a bang, going 2-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBI and two runs scored in an 8-4 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 7) ... 2024 (Sophomore at Creighton)
Saw action in 34 contests, making 28 starts (26 at third base and two as the designated player) during her sophomore campaign with the Bluejays ... Slashed .224/.341/.254 with 15 hits, two doubles, 13 walks, 14 runs scored and six RBI ... Posted a pair of multi-hit games and one multi-RBI performance ... Delivered a pinch-hit single in the Bluejays’ 5-4 extra-innings victory at Pacific on Feb. 23 in her season debut ... Recorded another pinch-hit single and scored a run in the Bluejays’ 8-0 win over Rider on March 13 ... Went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs in the Bluejays’ 11-2 victory over Georgetown on March 30 ... Laced a double and scored two runs in win over Villanova on April 6 ... Drove in two runs on one hit in the Bluejays’ 7-3 win over cross-town rival, Omaha, on April 20 ... Doubled and scored a run in the Bluejays’ 4-2 win over Butler in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament on May 8.
2023 (Freshman at Creighton)
Played in 35 games and made 16 starts during her first season with the Bluejays ... Hit .242 with six doubles and 10 RBI ... Led the team with 17 pinch-hit plate appearances, recording seven hits, three doubles and four RBI ... Finished the season ranked fourth on the team with 22 assists ... Made first career start against St. Thomas on Feb. 12, recording an RBI single for her first hit as a Bluejay ... Drove in a season-high three runs in the Bluejays’ 11-2 win over Northern Colorado (Feb. 18) ... Scored lone run and laced her first career double, driving in two runs against Penn on March 8 ... Went 2-for-4 with a double against Seton Hall (March 25) ... Delivered two-run pinch-hit double in the Bluejays 14-3 victory over DePaul on April 7 ... Drove in a run with a pinch-hit RBI double to left against Connecticut on April 22.
Madera High School
A three-time all-conference performer, finishing her career at Madera High School as one of the most decorated athletes in program history ... Capped off her prep career ranked second in school history with a .434 career batting average ... Also finished her career ranked third in program history for career doubles (29), tied for third in home runs (10), sixth in triples (8), fourth in RBI (69) and seventh in stolen bases (32) ... Named the CMAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference with a .425 batting average as a senior ... In addition, Perez was also named The Madera Tribune’s Most Valuable Player and was selected to the All-Area First Team after guiding the Coyotes to a second straight CMAC title ... Earned First Team All-CMAC and Fresno Bee All-Area honors after recording the second highest single-season batting average (.500) in school-history in 2021 ... She was named The Madera Tribune’s Offensive Player of the Year following her break-out season that saw her post a .750 slugging percentage on nine doubles, two triples and a home run ... Played club softball for the Central California Dirtdogs and was coached by Sara Pickering ... Helped lead her team to a third-place finish at the PGF Premier Nationals in 2019 ... Off the field, Perez excelled on the court in both volleyball and basketball ... As a senior, Erika was the only athlete in the Madera area to be named to The Madera Tribune’s All-Area team in three different sports ... Helped the Coyotes basketball team to a CIF Division IV runner-up finish, earning CMAC Honorable Mention honors.
Personal
Daughter of Manuel and Victoria Perez ... Has five siblings, Manuel, Alexis, Sofia and Brianna Perez and Isaac Arellano ... Erika's aunt, Roni Miller, is currently the head softball coach at York University in York, Neb., while her older sisters, Brianna (2014-15) and Sofia (2021-present), have each played under their aunt at York ... Currently majoring in Elementary Education.
