Originally from St. Anthony, MN, Birnbaum rowed for Creighton University from 2012-2016, serving as team captain her senior year. She was named to the All-West Coast Conference Women's Rowing Team for the 2015 and 2016 seasons as well as the All-Academic Team for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons.
She graduated from Creighton in May, 2016 with a double major in Chemistry and Computer Science. Sarah volunteers full-time with College Possible as a Junior Coach, mentoring high school juniors as they prepare for the ACT. This is Birnbaum’s first year coaching and she will be working full time with the novice rowers.
