Patrick Davis enters his third year at Creighton in 2023-24 after joining the Bluejay staff in January of 2022.Â
Â
At Creighton, Davis serves as the primary contact for the Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Tennis and Softball teams. In his role, Davis is responsible for coordinating all media interviews, press conferences, media guides, game notes, game programs, statistics and news releases, while also coordinating team’s social media platforms.Â

In his first season with the Bluejays, Davis worked closely with former head coach Brent Vigness to promote the Bluejay softball program, while helping direct the promotional campaign of BIG EAST Player of the Year and unanimous All-BIG EAST First Teamer, Kailey Wilson.Â

In 2023, Davis worked hand-in-hand with first-year head coach Krista Wood to elevate the Creighton brand in the Bluejay softball program, while also promoting two all-conference performers in Unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team Cayla Nielsen and Wilson (All-BIG EAST Second Team.) as well as three College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Districts honorees.

As women’s soccer SID, Davis coordinated all publicity efforts for three all-conference performers and five CSC Academic All-District First Team honorees. He also promoted the Bluejays throughout their run to their second BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals since joining the league in 2013.Â

Davis has also worked closely with long-time men’s and women’s tennis head coach Tom Lilly, who became just the fourth coach in Creighton history to collect 500 career wins with a 4-3 victory over Air Force on Jan. 28, 2023 and earned his first BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year award in 2023. Davis is also credited with publicizing four women’s tennis all-conference selections, including Creighton tennis’ first ever Freshman of the Year honor (Valerie Negin) in 2022. The 2023 women’s tennis team reached the programs first ever conference tournament final, after erasing a 3-0 deficit to upset second seeded DePaul, 4-3, in the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals.

Davis has also promoted the Bluejay Men’s Tennis team to two all-conference honors, including the Bluejays first All-BIG EAST First Team selection since 2017 in Matthew Lanahan. In 2023, the Bluejays earned their first ever ITA Ranking in program history, spending three weeks in the ITA Top-75, while earning their highest seed ever and the No. 1 overall seed in the BIG EAST Conference Tournament, where they reached the semifinals for the first time ever.Â

Davis also owns vast experience working numerous championship events in a variety of roles. In the summer of 2021, Davis served on the Media Coordination Team for the USA Olympic Swim Trials at the CHI Health Center Omaha. In 2022, Davis served as timeout coordinator for the 2022 NCAA Volleyball National Championship Match in Omaha. Each June, Davis also works alongside the NCAA during the Men’s College World Series to provide live internet statistics and the official box scores of the series.Â

Davis arrived in Omaha after serving as Assistant Director of Strategic Communications at Louisiana Tech from August 2021 to January 2022. While at LA Tech, Davis served as the primary contact for the Lady Techsters Volleyball and Women’s Basketball programs as well as the nationally ranked Bulldog baseball team.

Prior to his time at LA Tech, Davis served as a Sports Information Inter at Creighton during the 2019-20 season, working with all 14 varsity sports.Â

Davis is a 2019 graduate of Wayne State College, where he graduated with a degree in Sport Management. While at WSC, Davis spent three years working in the WSC Sports Information office, where he scored home soccer, baseball and softball games and served as a caller for football, volleyball and basketball games. Davis also has experience working the 2019 Summit League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships.Â

A Iowa native, he currently resides in Mondamin, Iowa.Â
